Chelsea Thomas, from Hershey, Pennsylvania, is currently attending Mansfield University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Marketing and Management. Chelsea is also a member of the Mansfield University's women's soccer team.
While attending Mansfield University, Chelsea has had many accomplishments as well as being actively involved around campus. During her Freshman and Sophomore years, she was awarded several academic awards including the Outstanding Business Department Award, Board of Governors Academic Tuition Scholarship, PSAC Scholar Athlete Awards, spots on the Dean's List, and now has been selected as the Student Trustee. Also during her two years, Chelsea was a part of two clubs including Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Colleges Against Cancer (CAC). She was named Vice President of CAC her Sophomore year and will be promoted to President during her Junior year.
As for Chelsea's work experience, during the summer of her post freshman year, she was the Summer Marketing Representative Intern of Moorestown Field Club in Moorestown, NJ. During this internship, she independently created a marketing campaign to increase club memberships and successfully exceeded their new membership goals by 150%. Additionally, Chelsea was selected for an internship at the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce during her second semester of her Sophomore year. Her internship project was to interview 12 local businesses regarding their town involvement to create a company video to be published on the Chamber's webpage. As for her post Sophomore year summer, she has secured her position as an intern at United Concordia Dental headquarters in Harrisburg, PA. Chelsea's end goal is to use the knowledge and skills gained from Mansfield University and her internships to work for a large company as a marketing representative.
As the Student Trustee of Mansfield University, Chelsea hopes to represent the MU student body in a strong, accurate manner over the next two years, in hopes to leave a lasting impact. Chelsea desires to strive for nothing but the best for her beloved university and surrounding community throughout her term.
