Mr. Lee received his B.S. in Secondary Education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in 1962 and his M.G.A. from the Fels Center of Government, University of Pennsylvania in 1973.He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1963, after serving two years on active duty from 1956-58.
Mr. Lee retired from the Pennsylvania Economy League, Inc. in 1993.He began his career as a Research Analyst in 1969, was promoted to Senior Research Analyst, then ultimately to Executive Director of the State Division in Harrisburg in 1982.He also was employed by both the Republican State and Finance Committees, and served in state government as Director of Personnel in the then Department of Property and Supplies.
Mr. Lee was an elected delegate to the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention of 1967-68 from the 20th Senatorial District.He served on both the Judiciary Committee (the only non-attorney on the panel) as a member of the sub-committee on Selection of Judges, and the Local Government Committee as a member of the sub-committee on Home Rule.
Mr. Lee has been a member of the MU Council of Trustees since 1985 serving as Council chair nine of those years.He also serves as a member and past president of the Northern Wayne Community Library Board of Directors, member of the Committee on Finance and Administration and Lay Delegate to the Wyoming Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.He is the Lay Leader and Admin Council chair of the Orson United Methodist Church.
His interests include reading, travel, classical music, public affairs, woodworking, stained glass, and volunteer work.
Mr. Lee was married to the former Linda Dix (MU Class of 1961) in 1961 and resides in Thompson, PA.They have two children, Jeffrey and Susan, (both MU grads) and two grandchildren.
