
Dr. Robert D. Strohecker, Vice Chair
Dr. Strohecker received his B.A. in General Studies (Magna Cum Laude) from Mansfield University in 1991 AFTER receiving his Doctor of Optometry in 1989 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is the only graduate in MU history to do this.
Dr. Strohecker has been the proud owner of Strohecker Vision Care, Inc since 1989. In 1994, he opened a second location and now serves approximately 7,000 patients with the assistant of nine employees. Dr. Strohecker also owns varied commercial and residential real estate with 40 units.
Dr. Strohecker is very involved in his community. He currently serves as the President of the Mansfield Downtown Development Corporation, Councilman for the Mansfield Borough Council, Vice Chair of the Mansfield University Council of Trustees (member since 1997) and Deacon of the New Life Church. He is a former member of the Finance Board for the New Life Church, former coach for Mansfield Area Little League and former Director of the Southern Tioga School Board.
Dr. Strohecker’s affiliations include Pennsylvania Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Vision Source and Banzai Consortium.
Dr. Strohecker and his wife Sondi reside in Mansfield with their three sons Anthony, Alex and Landis.
